Direct Hire Solutions CNC Machinist-Level 3 in Denver, Colorado
Reports To: Senior Production Manager
Location: On-Site | Denver, CO
Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Pay: $30--$42/hour (DOE)
Nexus Talent Solutions is hiring a skilled CNC Machinist for a high-precision manufacturing environment. This role owns jobs from programming through production, handling complex setups, machining, troubleshooting, and inspection while supporting continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
- Create and optimize CNC programs (G-code/CAM)
- Perform complete setups including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and probing
- Read and interpret prints, CAD/CAM files, and GD&T
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues
- Mentor junior machinists and support process improvements
What We're Looking For
- 2--5+ years CNC machining experience (programming + setup)
- Strong understanding of machining principles and tooling
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
- Experience in aerospace, energy, or industrial manufacturing a plus
