Nexus Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established Colorado construction materials and asphalt company to hire a Logistics Dispatcher for their Denver operations team. This role is responsible for coordinating trucking logistics supporting asphalt plants, paving crews, milling operations, and aggregate deliveries across the Denver metro area.
This is a fast-paced role ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, coordinating drivers, and keeping construction projects moving on schedule.
Position Summary
The Logistics Dispatcher will coordinate daily trucking needs for asphalt plant operations, paving crews, milling crews, grading operations, and aggregate deliveries. The role works closely with internal teams and third-party hauling partners to ensure materials arrive safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This role requires strong communication, organization, and real-time decision making to manage route adjustments and jobsite logistics.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and dispatch daily trucking needs for paving, milling, grading, and patch crews
• Manage trucking logistics for both internal construction teams and external customer deliveries
• Monitor daily operations and adjust routes and dispatch plans to maintain productivity
• Evaluate carrier performance and prioritize reliable haulers
• Maintain communication with private haul fleets to ensure jobsite coverage
• Prepare and distribute daily trucking schedules and make adjustments as operational needs change
• Document service issues and create incident reports when necessary
• Assist with onboarding and integration of new hauling partners
• Support after-hours or weekend dispatch needs when required
Qualifications
• 2--5 years of logistics dispatching experience preferred
• Experience in construction, asphalt, trucking, or aggregate logistics is highly valued
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Strong computer and dispatch software skills
• Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
• Knowledge of the Denver metro area and surrounding job sites
• High attention to detail with strong data entry accuracy
• Strong phone and communication skills with ability to multitask
• Ability to read maps and utilize GPS systems
Compensation
Salary: $50,000 -- $65,000 annually
