Actalent Assistant Superintendent - Construction in Denver, Colorado
Assistant SuperintendentPosition Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support on‑site construction operations for a large‑scale, multi‑family residential project consisting of approximately 250 units across three buildings, plus a clubhouse and pool. This role is ideal for someone with several years of field experience who is eager to grow, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast‑paced construction environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
3–5 years of Superintendent or Construction Management experience
Experience with townhomes, duplexes, and/or multifamily projects
Ground‑up construction experience preferred
Ability to manage two projects at a time (10–20+ unit projects)
Strong scheduling abilities, including:
Creating high‑level schedules
Hand‑drawn schedules
Using templates and building schedules with 30 activities
Translating hand drawings into digital schedules
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings at a high level
Experience working for a larger construction company in a management capacity is a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Enthusiastic, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and be coached
Self‑starter who takes ownership and does not rely on delegating tasks
Familiarity with construction management practices such as budgeting, blueprint reading, safety/OSHA, quality control, and document management
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Scheduling
Review initial project budgets and communicate scope, schedules, and expectations with field crews
Assist in administering and tracking project schedules prepared by the Project Superintendent
Monitor daily progress to ensure milestones and deadlines are met
Coordinate on‑time delivery and proper staging of materials
Schedule, track, and attend all required inspections
Field Supervision & Quality Control
Supervise subcontractor work and coordinate trade activities
Perform ongoing quality control inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contracts
Maintain and update project punch lists
Identify opportunities to reduce material waste and improve productivity
Communication & Documentation
Communicate changes, delays, and field conditions to project management promptly
Attend jobsite meetings and maintain strong relationships with owners, inspectors, trades, and suppliers
Understand and comply with General Contractor contract requirements
Safety & Site Management
Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure compliance with all safety requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
Technical Skills
Utilize basic construction technology tools for documentation, reporting, and communication

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $48.08/hr.
