Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Denver, Colorado
Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Denver, Colorado. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of the accounts payable department and work collaboratively with other finance professionals.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices with precision and ensure timely entry into the system.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, budgets, and invoices.
• Monitor payment schedules and ensure compliance with financial policies and deadlines.
• Perform account reconciliations by analyzing data and verifying statement accuracy.
• Facilitate payment processes including Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers and check runs.
• Review and apply the correct coding to invoices and transactions to maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team members to address and resolve accounts payable issues.
• Maintain organized documentation for all accounts payable activities and audits.
• Assist in optimizing accounts payable processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
• Strong knowledge of invoice coding and account coding practices.
• Proficiency in handling Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to navigate and work effectively with accounting software systems.
• Solid understanding of financial compliance and payment procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• High level of organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
