Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – $40–$42/hr – Denton, TX – 12-Week Assignment
Position Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant supports the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering speech-language services to students in the school setting. This role includes implementing therapy plans, documenting student progress, supporting communication development, and assisting both general education and special education students.
Assignment Details:
Location: Denton, TX
Start Date: March 1, 2026
Duration: 12 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate:
$40/hr (local SLPA)
$42/hr (bilingual SLPA)
Modality: In-person
Openings: 1 position
Details of Assignment:
Serving 40–60 students across PK–6th grade
Students supported in general education and SDC settings
SLPA will be supported by a virtual supervising SLP
Virtual interview required
Caseload and schedule details discussed at interview
Responsibilities:
Implement treatment plans designed by supervising SLP
Provide small-group and 1:1 therapy sessions
Support articulation, language, fluency, and communication skills
Assist with documentation, progress tracking, and material preparation
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and supervising SLP
Maintain compliance with professional and district standards
Requirements:
Active Texas SLPA license (required)
Completion of accredited SLPA program OR bachelor’s in Speech/Communication Disorders
Minimum 100 hours of supervised fieldwork
School-based experience preferred
TB/health certificate and CPR if applicable
Must meet federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
