Position Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for daily shipping activities, including managing shipping transactions, preparing and processing paperwork, coordinating deliveries, and handling materials. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate shipments while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the delivery of products to maximize resources and meet customer deadlines.
Schedule and coordinate outside carriers for daily product pick-up and delivery.
Assist with material handling between assembly and shipping areas.
May support in resolving customer complaints.
Ensure safety regulations are consistently followed and enforced.
Qualifications:
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
- Certification:Forklift license required.
- Experience:Minimum of two years of shipping experience.
- Skills:Basic computer knowledge, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 70 pounds.
Ability to move around the office and warehouse environments.
Ability to operate computers and complete paperwork accurately.
