GENERAL SUMMARY
We are seeking a friendly, reliable seasonal Garden Center Sales Associate to support daily operations during our busiest season. This role combines customer service, plant care, merchandising, and cashiering responsibilities. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, engaging with customers, and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
Customer Service & Sales
Greet customers and provide a welcoming, helpful experience
Assistcustomers with plant selection, basic plant care questions, and product recommendations
Support and work alongside individuals of varying abilities in a respectful, inclusive manner
Help customerslocateitems and carry purchases as needed
Maintain a positive and patient attitude during busy periods
Cashiering
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment
Balance register drawer and follow proper cash handling procedures
Answer phones andassistwith basic customer inquiries when stationed at the register
Merchandising & Maintenance
Water plants andassistwith general plant care (deadheading, spacing, etc.)
Restock merchandise, including plants, soils, pottery, and retail items
Keep displays clean, organized, and visually appealing
Assistwith receiving and unloading deliveries
Maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor retail areas
Team Support
Work collaboratively with team members and program participants
Assistwith opening and closing tasks as assigned
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment
