Celebration Senior Living Care Service Associate in Denison, Texas

Celebration Senior Living is seeking Full-Time and PRN Care Service Associates

12-hour shifts - 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM

We also have double weekend shifts

The Care Service Associate is responsible for providing resident services, including assistance with personal care, social and recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks as needed to facilitate the continued well-being of the resident. He or she must be sensitive to the needs and desires of each resident and make an attempt to improve and enrich their lives.

Responsibilities:

Assists residents with any service needs as provided for in their Agreement and Service Plan. Which include the following:

  • Bathing assistance
  • Dressing and undressing assistance
  • Eating and dining assistance
  • Monitoring of the residents to assure they are kept safe at all times.
  • Assistance with activities that are scheduled by the Life Enrichment Director.
  • To understand and feel comfortable with all Policy and Procedures of the community as well as Emergency Preparedness Plan
  • To complete all documentation before you leave your shift.
  • Keep the serving and activity areas neat and tidy at all times using the correct cleaning supplies.
  • Laundry for each resident to be done weekly or as indicated on the service plan
  • Being a float Care Giver for both units and helping in emergencies when needed
  • Answer night calls from and responding appropriately (night shift only)
  • Food Services. Responsibilities include the following: Serves andassists the residents with each meal in accordance with Dining Service Directors requests.
  • Other duties and tasks that may be required

Qualifications:

  • Prefer experience in dementia care
  • Ability to project a professional image
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Experience with seniors preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
  • Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position
  • Freedom from illegal use of drugs
  • Freedom from use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace

Education / Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • CNA certified a plus but not required
  • Blood-borne pathogens training
  • Completion of State specific required training
  • Must be able to obtain First Aid and CPR training within the first 30 days of employment
