SIGNET FARM SERVICES Structural Steel Worker (temporary) in DELTA, Utah

Temporary Need: 05/01/26 - 12/22/26. Twenty (20) full time, seasonal, temporary Structural Steel Laborers

Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs/75yds. One (1) month of ag construction work or experience with steel framing required.

Wage is $16.60/hour. H-2A workers $14.76/hour.

Hours: 45 hours/week; 7:30am- 4:30pm Mon-Sat.

Location: Work will be performed in Delta, Utah.

Duties:

On farms, we erect agricultural buildings for the dairy industry. Our work includes erecting light-gauge steel framing, and structural steel components, along with the installation of wall and roof systems such as metal panels, insulation, trim, doors, and related assemblies. Materials are delivered to the site and unloaded by our crews using telehandlers. When we arrive on site, the concrete foundations and slabs are already poured. We do not perform trenching, concrete placement, plumbing, or electrical work. Our crews use standard construction tools and equipment. Primary equipment includes telehandlers, boom lifts, and scissor lifts. Hand and power tools include drills, impact drivers, circular saws, reciprocating saws, grinders, nail guns, squares, levels, measuring tapes, and basic hand tools such as hammers and wrenches. All work is performed in accordance with project plans, safety requirements, and applicable safety standards.

Terms and Conditions of Employment:

Employer will conduct post-hire background check at employer's expense to determine whether there is any pattern of drunkenness or use of illegal drugs that could pose an unreasonable risk to property or to the safety of others. Specifically, the worker will have frequent access to agricultural equipment for purposes of operation and repair of cranes. Operation or faulty repair of such equipment would pose an unreasonable risk to property or to the safety of others if done by an individual under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. The employer will perform an individualized assessment and consider the following mitigating factors before taking any adverse action: The length of time since the conviction. The number of convictions on the record. The nature and severity of the conviction. The facts or circumstances surrounding the conviction. The age of the person at the time of the conviction. Evidence of rehabilitation efforts.

Tools, room, board, kitchen facilities and transportation provided at no cost to workers. Workers must be available for the entire work period. Workers are required to keep all property, housing, and farm buildings clean, and must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by the supervisor; employee must be willing to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision; absences from work and/or failure to perform required tasks will not be tolerated; must be able to provide employment eligibility documentation (I9 verification) upon hire. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compens ation laws for comparable employment. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need. Whichever is later to occur, and ending on the expiration date specified. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer shall pay the worker the cost incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence (minimum $16.28 and maximum $68 per day with receipts) from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer. The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed. If before the expiration date specified in the work contract, the services of the worker are no longer required for reasons beyond emplo er's control due to fire, weather, or other act of God that makes the fulfillment of the contract impossible, the employer may terminate the work contract. Whether such an event constitutes a contract impossibility will be determined by the Certified Officer. Employer will follow follow all regulations per 20 CFR sec. 655.122(0). The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage (AWER) that is issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed (or whichever is the highest pay rate). This job is in connection with a future H-2A labor certification application.
