Job Title: Marine Electrical Assembler Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrical Assembler to join our team. This role involves the assembly and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems in boat consoles, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Follow electrical schematics and drawing instructions for assembling boat consoles using 12 volt DC, 120/140 shore power.
Install electrical and electronic instruments, as well as AC and DC control panel wiring, circuit breakers, and relays.
Install battery chargers, converters, lighting circuits, A/C units, heating systems, and generators.
Test, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits, interfacing electronic circuits when necessary.
Install and maintain navigation and communication systems.
Use hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to time constraints.
Ensure consoles are assembled to meet quality requirements and standards of workmanship.
Follow directions from supervisors and collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors.
Achieve daily quality work and delivery targets through standardized work.
Adhere to company safety and quality protocols, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Complete necessary paperwork and other duties as assigned by managers or supervisors.
Assemble panels into the hulls of boats and report to the lead hand.
Essential Skills
Ability to work with electrical tools, including reading electrical schematics.
Knowledge of 12 volt DC, 120/140 shore power with marine electrical systems.
3+ years of mechanical experience.
Proficiency with electrical hand tools, wire cutters/strippers, crimping tools, basic wrenches, sockets no bigger than 3/8ths, and screwdrivers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with marine, automotive, or construction electrical systems.
Experience wiring boats, cars, trucks, or trailers.
Good reliability and the ability to take direction and work independently.
Positive attitude and proficiency in English for reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.

Work Environment
Work in a relaxed and quiet shop environment with music playing, collaborating with the shop supervisor and a team in Plant 1. Enjoy a supportive team atmosphere where each person has their own responsibilities but help is always available. The shift runs from 6 AM to 2:15 PM, Monday to Friday, with breaks at 9 AM, 12-12:30 PM for lunch, and a 2:15 PM coffee break, allowing for an early departure.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
