POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our manufacturing team as an intern. As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will play an important role in reviewing product information and production routes to ensure efficient production processes. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry and contribute to the optimization of our production operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Update production routes and picture labels as applicable
Conduct time studies and flow observations through work centers
Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams
Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as safety and quality standards
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, procurement, and quality assurance.
Update routes and picture labels
Time studies and flow observations through work centers
Building measurements
Standardization of documents (standard work, ISO docs, training modules etc.)
CI project help as necessary
Attributes:
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods
Evaluates production equipment capabilities in meeting product requirements
Solid mechanical aptitude
Good oral and written communication skills
Work as a team player
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management or related field.
Prefer Juniors and Seniors
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
The target hourly range is $20.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. This position qualifies for a shift differential of $3.00 per hour. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.
In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; paid holidays.
