POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as the first point of contact for technical support escalation for operations. Responsible for working alongside Manufacturing/Design Engineers supporting technical operations.
Hours: M-F, 5:00 A.M. - 1:30 P.M.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety) for assigned area
Identify and troubleshoot processes, material or equipment problems to minimize production down time and quality issues
Aid and monitor the containment of quality issues
Provide tooling validation; modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures
Design and create templates
Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product; submit red line drawings
Work with vendors/suppliers to procure tools and/or supplies as needed
Lead/assist in Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones
Lead/facilitate level 4 as-build structures throughout entire custom process
Main welder technique and process training resource
Participate and provide fab/weld feedback during design reviews
Provide real time design issue feedback on large structures, provide post-build review notes to designers
Occasional off-site quality issue evaluation/repair
Work with internal/external suppliers/customers to improve material quality and delivery
Train and provide technical support and/or direction as needed
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years’ experience working in production required
Welding background required, along with fabrication background preferred.
AA Degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience in related discipline strongly preferred
Extensive experience in performing quality control procedures and meeting production standards
Working knowledge of computers and office software
Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Great communication and collaboration skills
Keen attention to detail and problem-solving techniques
The target hourly range is $26.00 - $36.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.
In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
