Position: CBS Transportation Planner
Location:Del. Miguel Hidalgo, CMX, MEX
Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Transportation Planner to design, optimize, and execute transportation plans that ensure high service levels while controlling costs. This role plays a critical part in managing daily transportation operations, improving On Time performance, and driving continuous optimization across the distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Planning & Execution: Develop and execute daily transportation plans (FTL, LTL, Milk Runs) to align customer demand with operational capacity and routing efficiency.
Carrier & Vendor Management: Lead carrier selection, negotiate rates (RFQs), and monitor performance against SLAs to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance.
Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as load consolidation, backhauls, and mode optimization, to reduce spend and improve service.
KPI Management & Continuous Improvement: Track key metrics (OTD, OTP, Routing Guide adherence) and analyze root causes to implement effective corrective actions.
Exception & Risk Management: Proactively manage disruptions in real-time and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Warehouse, CS, Demand Planning) for end-to-end visibility.
Systems & Digital Innovation: Utilize TMS (TM9) and leverage AI-driven tools or automation to simplify processes and enhance transportation data accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in customer service, supply network planning, transportation planning, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Experience with routing strategies (FTL, LTL, cross-dock, milk run)
• Strong background in KPI management and continuous improvement
Prefered Requirements :
- English proficiency, both oral and written
