Participates in the department-wide development of resources and services aimed at meeting the advising demands of the student body. Contributes to department-wide development of resources to assist advisors in delivering quality advising services. Supports enrollment management, retention and student success practices outlined by the college.
Provides academic advising services, including interpretation of placement tests, interpretation of degree audit and curricular requirements, interpretation of academic policies, interpretation and application of college academic standing policy, and career and transfer advising.
Provide advising services to specialized populations including, but not limited to, at-risk, open campus, allied health, first year, and returning students.
Provides students with general admissions, financial aid and registration related expectations and requirements (i.e., FAFSA verification assistance, admissions checklist items, etc.)
Participates in advising programs for specific populations including, but not limited to, first year advising and registration sessions, new student advising and registration sessions, and orientation.
Participates in the development and implementation of outreach strategies to provide advising services to students including alternate format advising services.
Participates in the development and implementation of resources for advisors aimed at enhancing the quality and effectiveness of advising services.
Gathers accurate and complete information in order to effectively provide service to students.
Participates, as requested, in college sponsored events.
Designs and implements outreach programs to promote and encourage use of advising and career services by students, faculty, and staff.
Develops promotional materials and strategies for all advising related programs.
Assists in the orientation process for new students.
Assists and monitors identified at-risk students using various advising methods and materials.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and Two (2) years of related work experience.
