Defiance County Victims Assistance Part-Time Office Assistant (Victim Services Support) in Defiance, Ohio
Defiance County Victims Assistance is accepting applications for a Part-Time Office Assistant (Victim Services Support) to provide front office and administrative support to advocates and program leadership. This position is the first point of contact for many clients and helps ensure a welcoming, confidential, and trauma-informed experience.
Pay: Starting between $18-$20 (depending on experience and qualification) Non-Exempt/Hourly Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours/week (set schedule with some flexibility) Location: Defiance County Victims Assistance Office
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phones, greet guests, and provide trauma-informed front desk support
- Assist with paperwork, file management, scanning, and confidential recordkeeping
- Support new victim intake processes (initial information gathering and scheduling)
- Assist with basic finance processes (tracking receipts/invoices, documentation packets)
- Support grant reporting (data entry, compiling documentation, mileage/phone/training logs)
- Coordinate calendars, correspondence, mailings, supplies, and routine office needs
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1+ year experience in office support, reception, or administrative work preferred
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential information
- Computer proficiency (email, Word/Excel or similar); ability to learn agency systems
- Professional communication skills and ability to work with individuals in crisis
