WISCONSIN BUILT INC CNC Machine Operator in DEERFIELD, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary: Operate various machines in Machining Department to optimize production and quality. Machine Operations may include routers, edge banders and potentially other machines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Hard Skills 1. Needs to be punctual and maintain good attendance. 2. Able to easily and consistently measure to 32nd\'s and 64th\'s of an inch. Accurate Tape Measure Reading experience needed. 3. More advanced cut-listing/optimizing of materials using the material schedules provided for the job. 4. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus 5. Able to work independently and as part of a team. 6. May need to perform routine maintenance. Soft Skills 1. Demonstrates effective time management. 2. Self-motivated and work well independently. 3. Professional interactions with all people both here and in the field on job sites. 4. Willing to be cross-trained 5. Detail Oriented 6. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Examine raw woodstock for defects and to ensure conformity to size and other specification standards. Monitor operation of machines and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications. Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly. Install and adjust blades, cutterheads, boring-bits, or sanding-belts, using hand tools and rules. Adjust machine tables or cutting devices and set controls on machines to produce specified cuts or operations. Change alignment and adjustment of sanding, cutting, or boring machine guides to prevent defects in finished products, using hand tools. Set up, program, or control computer-aided design (CAD) or computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together, or to press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces. Start machines and move levers to engage hydraulic lifts that press woodstocks into desired forms and disengage lifts after appropriate drying times. Unclamp workpieces and remove them from machines. Grease or oil woodworking machines. Trim wood parts according to specifications, using planes, chisels, or wood files or sanders. Attach and adjust guides, stops, clamps, chucks, or feed mechanisms, using hand tools. Inspect pulleys, drive belts, guards, or fences on machines to e sure that machines will operate safely. Clean or maintain products, machines, or work areas. Inspect and mark completed workpieces and stack them on pallets, in boxes, or on conveyors so that they can be moved to the next workstation. Secure woodstock against a guide or in a holding device, place woodstock on a conveyor, or dump woodstock in a hopper to feed woodstock into machines. Push or hold workpieces against, under, or through cutting, boring, or shaping mechanisms. Feed stock through feed mechanisms or conveyors into planing, shaping, boring, mortising, or sanding machines to produce desired components. Determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to blueprints, oral or written instructions, drawings, or work orders. Select knives, saws, blades, cutter heads, cams, bits, or belts, according to workpiece, machine functions, or product specifications. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
