Horizon Therapeutics USA, Inc.; Data Scientist - R-239041; Deerfield, IL; Perform high quality data analyses supporting business partners including commercial insights and analytics, brand teams, sales operations, external vendor partners, service owners, and IS partners to create solutions and insights to solve challenging business problems across multiple therapeutic areas and commercial functions; Apply technical expertise to manipulate large messy datasets, write high-quality code, and adapt complicated machine learning models to the problems at-hand; Move models from development to production and have a good sense for tracking and updating model performance; Distill complicated technical work to understandable and actionable outputs with the knowledge of data science; Fuel innovation and create initiatives by bringing to bear an understanding of biopharmaceutical, healthcare, and technology ecosystems; Transform business, medical, or scientific questions into analytical ones and map out solutions, delivery, and impact; Employ data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities across Amgens commercial organization with reliable performance, interpretability, and actionability; and Develop or lead development of high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts using a cutting-edge technical stack. May Telecommute. Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering & completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, thesis, or one year of experience in the following: Python Programming Language including Pandas, Scikit Learn, Spark, Tensorflow, and MatplotLib libraries; Data wrangling and manipulating with SQL; Core data science concepts and machine learning models including, Bias Variance tradeoff, Simple vs complex models, Ensemble techniques, Deep learning, Supvervised and unsupervised; Natural Language Processng (NLP) and Generative AI; Source code control including Git; and Cloud environments including AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Job type: Full Time position. The annual salary range for this position in the U.S. is \$137,855.00 \$168,574.00 per year.
