The requirements listed below are | | representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required: | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | · Conduct intake and assessment on clients who are homeless | | or at risk of homelessness | | | | · Assist clients in locating and securing safe, affordable | | housing including assistance with required paperwork and applications | | | | · Provide appropriate referrals to all services for which | | clients may be eligible | | | | · Maintain a relationship with area landlords, advocating for | | low-income people | | | | · Serve as liaison between clients and their landlord as | | needed to help mitigate crises or resolve conflict | | | | · Provide housing case management to SMCAA's housing | | stabilization programs in Cass and Van Buren Counties | | | | · Travel though out the service area as needed. | | | | · Overnight travel may be required for training and | | certification purposes. | | | | · Advocate for safe, affordable housing in the tri-county | | area | | | | · Assist in case-management of homeless shelter participants | | | | · Provide back-up and support for all Homeless and Housing | | programs, projects, and services and act as a valuable team player of | | the Homeless and Housing department as requested | | | | · Performs all other job-related duties as assigned by | | program manager | | | | | | | | The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of | | the work being performed by a person in this position.
