Senior Accountant - Decatur, IL
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial statements. A key responsibility includes the supervision of the regional Center of Excellence (COE) for Intercompany (IDT).
Requirements:
ACCA or CPA Qualification
Minimum of 5 years’ experience at the Senior Accounting level, preferably in a Manufacturing Environment
Strong technical accounting background including good working knowledge of international accounting standards
Experience in cost management
Motivated individual with excellent time management, communication and presentation skills
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Advanced computing skills, including strong Excel skills
Ability to be a strong team player
Ability to multitask and manage under pressure
Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory financial statements for assigned Caribbean Milling locations
Team lead for the IDT center of excellence
Ensure IDT entries are reviewed and booked timely
Review and approve journal entries prior to posting to the General Ledger
Review and approve reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensure that accounting records are accurately maintained in a timely manner
Review and approve audit schedules
Supervise Accounting Staff
Provide management information and analyze accounting data
Troubleshoot and diagnose accounting issues
Variance analysis

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
