ManpowerGroup Payroll Systems Implementation Consultant in Decatur, Illinois

Our client, a leader in the food processing and commodities trading industry, is seeking a dedicated Payroll Systems Implementation Consultant to join their dynamic team. As a Payroll Systems Implementation Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting payroll system enhancements and ensuring seamless integration during transformational initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, fostering success within a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Job Title: Payroll Systems Implementation Consultant

Location: Decatur, Illinois (Hybrid)

Pay Range: $55-$60/hr.

Job Type: 12-month contract

What's the Job?

  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and support cleanup of payroll-related accounts.

  • Assist with documenting processes, including job guides, SOPs, and end-user documentation.

  • Support current-state workflow analysis and contribute to designing future-state processes.

  • Participate in system testing activities such as UAT, regression testing, and data validation to ensure payroll system accuracy.

  • Help troubleshoot issues during hyper-care post-go-live, answer user questions, and verify payroll process stabilization.

What's Needed?

  • Hands on experience with payroll systems and payroll accounting with a strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations

  • Experience supporting technology implementations or large system changes required

  • Familiarity with testing procedures and defect tracking

  • Excellent documentation skills (job aids, SOPs, process maps)

  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with large ERP environments (HFM experience is a plus)
