This is an exempt level position.

Position Summary:

Supervisors at ADM have proven ability to think and work independently, while supervising other individuals and processes. They possess the ability to identify problems or opportunities for improvement and regularly propose solutions to problems. Supervisors are expected to independently manage projects of increasing complexity and have a strong understanding of accounting systems and processes. They must demonstrate a high level of self-confidence in dealing with management at various levels and various administrative, commercial, and operations areas, as applicable. They should be considered an expert in assigned areas and have demonstrated ability to see projects through to completion, while training and guiding others.

The Fixed Assets and Project Accounting team is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of capital projects and fixed asset transactions. We do this through monthly close activities such as calculating and recording journal entries, analyzing changes in property, plant, and equipment balances, analyzing changes in capital expenditures, completing and reviewing balance reconciliations, assisting with relevant property footnotes and cash flow information, as well as interacting with multiple levels of business unit commercial and plant management.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and reconciling of fixed asset accounts, including review of certain tasks

  • Complete monthly accounting work per US GAAP guidelines and perform relevant analysis

  • Prepare global FA reporting on a monthly basis

  • Complete annual review/revision of Key Financial Controls (SOX requirements) and process flows and work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls

  • Work with relevant business partners to provide insight and analysis into financial results

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and/or supporting schedules

  • Perform quarterly analysis and reporting

  • Work independently with little supervisor intervention

  • Engage proactively in the design and implementation of process change

Required Skills:

  • Strong balance sheet reconciliation and review experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of Internal Controls

  • Financial Analysis and operations

  • Knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance

  • Designing Queries and Reports using Financial Systems

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Experience:

  • 6+ years of accounting experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and large ERP systems a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successful perform the essential job functions consistent with qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

  • Standard office safety regulations

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$73,200.00 - $135,500.00

Salaried Incentive Plan:

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus
