Job Title: Filler Rebuild Level Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This role involves performing skilled tasks across multiple trades in maintenance, facilities, and construction. This position offers growth opportunities within the Maintenance department following successful completion of a mechanical aptitude test and interview process. The technician will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, buildings, and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Rebuild and maintain all filler pumps for paint filling processes.

  • Ensure the pump rebuild area is kept neat and clean, and maintain inventory of all parts.

  • Analyze and make recommendations to enhance uptime on fill units.

  • Maintain the preventative maintenance schedule on individual pumps and pump fill units.

  • Assist in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and operational issues on assigned equipment.

  • Support skilled maintenance workers in a variety of tasks including conduit installation, conveyor repairs, and preventive maintenance.

  • Move and carry heavy materials such as pipe, lumber, gravel, sand, or furniture.

  • Assist in preventive maintenance programs related to infrastructure equipment and safety concerns, including roof leak detection and pressure washing of exterior structures.

  • Perform routine mechanical repairs on filler units.

  • Complete tasks as part of the overall preventative maintenance program, including lubricating, oiling, painting, cleaning, and repairing machines and machine parts as needed.

  • Assist in testing electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC controls, and replace known individual components based on complexity.

  • Develop and present training and communication sessions for the department to share best practices related to new, modified, or familiar equipment operations.

  • Utilize the computerized maintenance management system for accessing work assignments, printing work orders, and entering feedback from field findings.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to rebuild, inspect, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment.

  • Experience with conveyors, bottling machinery, painting, metal fabrication.

  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Effective decision-making skills for determining best methods and procedures for maintenance repairs.

  • Resourcefulness and creativity in solving non-recurring problems.

  • Capability to present troubleshooting and repair recommendations.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily a warehouse/distribution center. Daily attire includes work khakis and a clean, appropriate t-shirt. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, earplugs, and safety glasses are required. The team consists of 18 members and operates from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities due to ongoing projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
