Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technician
Location: Decatur, AL
Pay: $28–$30/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 rotation | Rotating days & nights every two weeks

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technician to support a food‑grade, non‑food manufacturing facility . This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills across a wide range of production equipment. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing issues from start to finish and keeping critical systems running safely and efficiently.
This is a hands‑on position for technicians who can think, troubleshoot, and execute .
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex manufacturing equipment including:
Heating elements, rollers, cutters, and automation systems
Motors, cranes, electrical controls, and computer‑based systems
Perform root‑cause troubleshooting , not just component replacement
Execute preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns to support production uptime
Follow and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures at all times
Perform mechanical and electrical repairs independently
Complete welding and fabrication tasks as needed (welding experience is a plus)
Access machinery in tight or elevated spaces as required
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to improve reliability
Maintain compliance with all plant safety standards and procedures
Required Qualifications
Strong hands‑on experience troubleshooting manufacturing machinery
Solid mechanical and electrical skillset
Proven ability to diagnose issues independently from start to finish
LOTO experience required
Comfortable working in physically demanding, industrial environments
Prior maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities
Preferred Qualifications
Welding experience (MIG, stick, or fabrication)
Experience with automation or PLC‑controlled equipment
Background in high‑temperature or heavy‑duty production environments
Work Environment
Industrial manufacturing setting
Exposure to heat, fluids, and dirty equipment
Physically active role requiring climbing, lifting, and confined‑space access
Rotating 12‑hour schedule (2‑2‑3)
