Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to leverage their extensive manufacturing knowledge in the automotive sector. You will work collaboratively with product development teams to integrate design inputs for PFMEAs and ensure accurate severity ratings and failure effects are extracted from DFMEAs. You will also be responsible for addressing PFMEA audit discrepancies and improving detection methods within manufacturing controls. Your role will include uploading deviation proofs to systems such as Jira/E2KS and maintaining PFMEA standards by acquiring necessary approvals.
Responsibilities
Utilize existing manufacturing experience to populate PFMEAs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product development to integrate design inputs for PFMEAs.
Extract severity ratings and failure effects from DFMEAs in our repository.
Work with FMA experts to address PFMEA audit discrepancies.
Evaluate and improve PFMEA detection methods within manufacturing controls.
Upload deviation proofs to necessary systems (Jira/E2KS) and update PFMEA standards.
Obtain supervisor signatures on PFMEAs and upload to the FEDE workbench.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within the automotive industry.
Proficiency in PFMEA, FMA, and failure mode avoidance processes.
Understanding of vehicle parts installation processes and process engineering.
Experience with GSPAS and Teamcenter.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field.
Familiarity with manufacturing environments and processes in OEMs.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic work environments and diverse teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency with Excel, internal client websites, Teamcenter, and GSPAS.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $43.00/hr.
