What you'll do ...

  • Learning Needs Analysis & Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including subject matter experts (SMEs), to identify skill gaps, training requirements, and performance improvement opportunities

  • Assess the existing competencies and capabilities of the workforce to determine areas of improvement and development

  • Develop and implement learning strategies that align with the business goals and objectives of automotive manufacturing organizations

  • Identify innovative learning approaches and methodologies that leverage technology and industry best practices to enhance learning effectiveness

  • Design strategies for competency development, career progression, and continuous learning to support the evolving demands of automotive manufacturing

  • Assess current and future needs of the organization through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and analysis of data

  • Curriculum Design & Development:

  • Lead the design and development of instructional curricula and learning materials tailored to the specific needs of automotive manufacturing personnel

  • Collaborate with SMEs and instructional designers to create engaging and interactive learning content, including e-learning modules, virtual reality simulations, and hands-on activities

  • Program Management & Implementation:

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs for automotive manufacturing personnel

  • Manage activities including statements of work, PO approval, invoicing, leading project teams, sharing expertise, compiling points of view/recommendations, and executive presentations

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs using key performance indicators (KPIs) and feedback mechanisms

  • Continuously improve and refine learning programs based on research, benchmarking, data-driven insights, and learner feedback (Source: Manufacturing Job Description)

  • Own end-to-end development of manufacturing-related learning and experiences designed to prepare employees for excellence in their roles so they can optimize the business

  • Establish and report regularly on metrics that demonstrate learning impact and effectiveness

  • Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead and build capabilities of team (SMEs, learning experts, and vendors) to deliver innovative solutions that incorporate the latest learning trends

  • Manage, coach, and influence others (team, peers, employees, and leaders) in demonstrating a growth and innovative mindset

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, operations, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment of learning strategies with organizational goals

  • Build strong relationships with external partners, training providers, and industry associations to leverage expertise and resources in automotive manufacturing education and training

  • Communicate learning strategies, progress updates, and evaluation findings to stakeholders, ensuring buy-in and support for learning initiatives

  • Innovation & Best Practices:

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in automotive manufacturing and the broader learning and development field

  • Research and evaluate new tools, platforms, and methodologies to enhance the learning experience and drive innovation

  • Provide recommendations on the adoption of new learning technologies and strategies to optimize learning outcomes in automotive manufacturing

You'll have ...

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organization, and coordination of multiple initiatives

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and storytelling skills; must be capable of communicating information to diverse audiences in a virtual environment

  • In-depth knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, technologies, and industry-specific challenges

  • 5+ years designing and delivering learning experiences

  • Advanced Excel and Power point Skills

  • Ability to manage, coach, and influence others (team, peers, employees, and leaders) in demonstrating a growth and innovative mindset

  • Facilitation Skills

  • Strong leadership presence

  • Proven experience in assessing critical learning needs for an organization

  • Experience in new and existing learning delivery methods, including ILT, vILT, online learning, webcasts, mobile, social, video, and microlearning

  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and collaborate with cross-functional global partners

  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, self-motivated, and work independently in a fast-paced iterative environment

  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design models, and emerging trends in technology-enhanced learning

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS)

  • Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making abilities

  • Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and keeping up-to-date with industry advancements

This position is a leadership salary grade 6 and ranges from $112,680-212,760.
