Ford Motor Company Industrial Engineering Manager-Strategy & Advanced Planning in Dearborn, Michigan
The Industrial Engineering (IE) Manager is a high-impact leadership role responsible for architecting the future of Ford’s manufacturing competitiveness. Responsibilities:
Lead the enterprise-wide roadmap to achieve "Best in World" labor standards.
Use competitive intelligence and global benchmarking to identify next-generation efficiency levers.
Synthesize data from benchmarking, labor studies, and financial reports into clear, persuasive stories.
Drive the evolution of Lean maturity within Global Manufacturing Engineering focusing on Daily Management and continuous improvement.
Embody and coach the Ford OS behaviors.
Lead with a Servant Leadership mindset.
Foster an inclusive environment of continuous learning.
Serve as the global business owner for the Global Study Process Allocation System (GSPAS).
Oversee the application of MODAPTS and process writing Standard Language to ensure global consistency in labor estimates.
Ability to derive and represent labor estimation / forecasting of far future potential product programs and other strategic planning / what-if studies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related), and/or 10+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Leadership Experience.
Proven track record of leading large-scale Lean transformations and driving VA/NVA labor reductions.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence through data-driven storytelling.
Demonstrated experience in coaching, inspiring and developing teams, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and removing organizational barriers.
Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Strong Project Management Skills and result-oriented mindset.
Demonstrated experience in Failure Mode Avoidance principles to drive In-station process control with a continuous Plan, Do, Check, Adjust cycle.

This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $138,240-261,720.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
