Ford Motor Company Core Manufacturing Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan
Responsible for leading the digital manufacturing strategy and optimizing the software ecosystem used to deliver programs and manage change at the plant. Acting as the bridge between engineering requirements and software development, oversee the full product lifecycle from requirements gathering and solution alignment to development prioritization.
Develop manufacturing engineering problem statements, users stories, and process flows by interfacing with Ford’s global business units
Capture user issues and work with IT teams to resolve
Bring global teams together to align common training material, best practices, creation of knowledge bases
Work with IT and other teams to conduct User acceptance testing
Have an opportunity to broaden your knowledge and skillset in many other areas of manufacturing engineering by working in a team that has significant experience in both manufacturing engineering and technology
Prepare management presentations for alignment on people, process, technology
Interface with a diverse group of global regions and cultures
Operate in stressful situations within timing constraints
Work with minimal direct supervision
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (pref Mechanical)
Skilled in Siemens Teamcenter(preferably AWC), NX, Simulations, Easy Plan
3 years experience in following areas related to Manufacturing Engineering:
BOM Management, Change Management, Configuration Management
Bill of Process, Process Sheets, Time Studies
Experience with PLM tools (e.g., TeamCenter).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
Knowledge in the following Ford software systems: FEDE, WERS, GSPAS/APT and process writing.
Microsoft Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel (infrequent but may be required)
