NDX LORD'S DENTAL STUDIO Dental Lab Technician Trainee in DE PERE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician Trainee opportunity at NDX Lord\'s Dental Studio in De Pere, WI. We do not require previous experience and are offering paid, hands-on training! If you\'re willing to learn, ready to commit, and enjoy working with your hands, please apply! The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position: Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist Will be trained to produce bite rims, custom trays, relines and model prep All other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Required: Excellent hand-eye coordination Strong ability to read, listens, comprehend, retain and execute on written and verbal instructions High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize work Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Minimum Education and Experience Required: Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used: Wet Grinder Sharp Tools/Instruments Investment material Lathe Hand piece Boil Out Acrylic Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation Ability to effectively communicate technical information Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color Qualifications Behaviors Required Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity Education Preferred High School or Equivalent or better. Read prescriptions or specifications and examine models or impressions to determine the design of dental products to be constructed. Test appliances for conformance to specifications and accuracy of occlusion, using articulators and micrometers. Fabricate, alter, or repair dental devices, such as dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays, or appliances for straightening teeth. Place tooth models on an apparatus that mimics bite and movement of patient\'s jaw to evaluate functionality of model. Remove excess metal or porcelain and polish surfaces of prostheses or frameworks, using polishing machines. Melt metals or mix plaster, porcelain, or acrylic pastes and pour materials into molds or over frameworks to form dental prostheses or apparatuses. Prepare metal surfaces for bonding with porcelain to create artificial teeth, using small hand tools. Rebuild or replace linings, wire sections, or missing teeth to repair dentures. Apply porcelain paste or wax over prosthesis frameworks or setups, using brushes and spatulas. Build and shape wax teeth, using small hand instruments and information from observations or dentists\' specifications. Load newly constructed teeth into porcelain furnaces to bake the porcelain onto the metal framework. Mold wax over denture setups to form the full contours of artificial gum . Create a model of patient\'s mouth by pouring plaster into a dental impression and allowing plaster to set. Prepare wax bite blocks and impression trays for use. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience is not required.
