Service Depot Engineer (In-Office) – Cologne, Germany
Job Summary
As part of our EMEA Centre of Excellence, you will play a key role in maintaining and servicing ZOLL’s life-saving medical devices across our Resuscitation (https://www.zoll.com/en-us/products/emergency-care/monitors-and-defibrillators) , Temperature Management, (https://www.zoll.com/en-us/products/critical-care/temperature-management) and Respiratory Care (https://www.zoll.com/en-us/solutions/hospital/respiratory-therapy) portfolios. As part of our established team you will ensure devices are repaired, tested, and returned to customers quickly and reliably, supporting the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, and business partners to support customer needs
Conduct incoming and outgoing quality inspections of devices and spare parts
Perform preventative maintenance and functional testing
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair ZOLL devices down to circuit board and component level
Complete repairs within defined turnaround times (TAT) to ensure efficient throughput
Accurately document fault findings, repairs, and service actions
Record activities in the Complaint Management System (CMS) database
Contribute to the reduction and effective management of customer complaints
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, quality, and regulatory requirements
Lead and/or contribute to projects such as development of systems, tools, processes, and organization as well as integration of new businesses and technologies
Additional responsibilities may be awarded as part of your career development, including but not limited to engineering-, application-, process- or quality-related responsibilities
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices (component-level repair preferred)
Fluent in English and in at least one of the following: German, Dutch, French, Spanish, or Italian
Strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, and attention to detail
Good IT skills, including MS Office
Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and grow professionally
