Aerotek is seeking a Bilingual Maintenance Technician for a client in Dayton, TX

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating preventive maintenance plans and troubleshooting a variety of systems in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems including motors, MCC, transformers, and breakers for production units and utilities.

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical or control issues using one-line diagrams, PLC programs, and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and voltage testers.

  • Troubleshoot problems related to electrical motors, VFD, and MCC.

  • Perform predictive maintenance techniques including infrared inspections and motor current analysis.

  • Utilize and maintain the CMMS(SAP) plan maintenance system.

  • Create preventive maintenance plans for rotating machinery including gearboxes, transmissions, motors, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

  • Troubleshoot rotating machinery using mechanical drawings, OEM manuals, and API standards.

  • Diagnose issues in hydraulic and pneumatic systems using schematic drawings and OEM guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience.

  • Proficiency with conveyors, hydraulics, motors, pumps, and gearboxes.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work with cranes and heights up to 20 feet.

  • Bilingual capabilities.

  • Troubleshooting and repair skills in electrical and mechanical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in steel/metal fabrication preferred.

  • Ability to diagnose and repair PLCs.

  • Having personal tools is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

Work in a medium-sized metal fabrication facility with a manufacturing and distribution center. The environment is clean but non-climate controlled, with large fans in the shop. The facility is expanding, leading to potential areas of construction. The team currently consists of five members with plans to grow. Work attire includes steel toe shoes, work shirt, and jeans, with no hats or jewelry allowed. Choose your shift from Mon-Fri, 2pm-10pm or 10pm-6am, with initial training during the day.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
