Aerotek Brazer/Assembly in Dayton, Tennessee

Job Title: Brazer Job Description

As a Brazer, you will be responsible for assembling piping systems for HVAC systems using hand tools. You will learn to braze copper pipes and be required to use an oxyacetylene torch to bind metals, allowing for proper fit-ups. The role involves measuring and understanding how to fit metal openings and connections for joining copper pipes.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret measurements accurately to 1/8th inch; training provided if necessary.

  • Follow verbal instructions effectively.

  • Use a brazing torch safely and work comfortably around flames.

  • Engage in general production and assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with welding, oxyacetylene torch, stainless steel, and copper.

  • Proficiency in soldering, production, solder, and tape measure usage.

  • Experience in brazing and assembly within a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience fabricating aluminum, stainless, or carbon is advantageous but not required.

  • Blueprint reading and mechanical assembly experience are beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean manufacturing machine and assembly shop. The position is on the first shift, operating Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break. Steel-toe boots and pants are required as part of the dress code.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
