TEAP Specialist (LCDC II Required) Part-time • $24.19 hourly -- Bi-weekly pay Location • Dayton, Ohio

Schedule • Monday through Friday: 20 hours weekly

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate professional to lead and implement a comprehensive Trainee Employee Assistance Program (TEAP) supporting students in substance abuse prevention, intervention, and education. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about behavioral health, student support, and creating a safe, substance-free learning environment.

This position is well-suited for individuals with experience in:

• Substance abuse counseling and intervention • Behavioral health or social services • Working with youth or young adults • Program development and implementation • Training and staff education • Community resource coordination

You will work closely with the Health and Wellness Manager and cross-functional student support teams to identify needs, provide direct services, and promote a positive and healthy center culture.

This is an on-site, student-facing role that requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to model professionalism and accountability.

Your work directly supports student well-being, retention, and overall success in the Job Corps program.

What You'll Do

Substance Abuse Counseling & Program Implementation

• Provide direct services to students with identified substance abuse patterns. • Implement prevention, intervention, and education programs related to alcohol and drug use. • Develop and maintain a comprehensive TEAP in compliance with all regulatory requirements. • Lead initiatives such as Tobacco Use Prevention Program (TUPP) to support a non-smoking environment.

Training, Collaboration & Student Support

• Train staff on identifying, referring, and supporting students with substance abuse concerns. • Collaborate with counseling, social development, and career development teams. • Develop community partnerships and referral networks to support student needs. • Model, mentor, and reinforce positive center culture and expectations.

Documentation, Compliance & Safety

• Maintain accurate documentation of all student interactions and training sessions. • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards. • Act as a responsible custodian of center property. • Report ethical concerns, safety issues, and policy violations. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and reduction of waste.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field (preferred). • Minimum of two years of related experience (preferred). • LCDC II certification (required). • Certification or eligibility for Substance Abuse Counselor certification in Ohio. • Experience working with economically disadvantaged or diverse youth populations. • Stron
