Essential Job Functions

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively, establish strong working relationships, coordinate technical exchanges, and manage expectations across diverse stakeholders.

• Apply rigorous scientific inquiry and analytical methods to define, quantify, and assess the feasibility of projects, studies, or problems. Conduct independent analyses that result in well-founded recommendations and viable courses of action for complex technology challenges.

• Identify additional analytical questions, evaluate and critique key elements of analysis, propose alternative approaches, and recommend appropriate analytical techniques.

• Facilitate the transition of scientific results from the research environment to operational communities and/or end users.

• Support portfolio management activities, including cost control, technical performance, scheduling, and risk management, ensuring successful delivery of technical objectives within established constraints.

• Develop and deliver technical briefings, reports, and presentations. Ensure all program documentation and deliverables meet professional and organizational standards.

• Work independently to design research studies and agreements, demonstrating strong attention to detail, organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage and follow through on complex projects.

• Perform secondary and supporting duties within the scope of Science and Engineering functions, as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in engineering program management within the Department of Defense (DoD), an equivalent industry environment, or a combination of both.
