Full Job Description
- Feed linen into ironers.
- Hand folds and stacks linen in appropriate bundles.
- Determines quality of linen and rejects unacceptable pieces.
- Binds, marks, wraps, and packs bundles according to standards.
- Keeps accurate records of work produced.
- Sorts soiled linen according to item, size, style, and color.
- Dump bags onto conveyor belts or work surfaces.
- Push and pull carts of soiled linen.
- Wear protective wearing apparel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential:
- Ability to push 600 pound carts; ability to lift 50-75 pounds; ability to work at a steady rapid pace; ability to bend; ability to work in heat; ability to stand eight to ten hours.
Non-essential:
Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds.
