MTSI is seeking a Mission Engineer SME to lead the development and delivery of Mission Engineering Analysis Efforts tailored to mission-critical analysis and engineering solutions. This role combines operations research (ORSA), systems engineering, and mission integration expertise to assess and optimize future capability investments and operational strategies. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor and technical expert with experience guiding mission-level analyses, conducting risk assessments, and developing analytical frameworks aligned with Joint Warfighting Concepts, Combatant Command (COCOM) priorities, and capability gap assessments. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team in the execution ofanalysis effortsfollowing the mission engineering process.Work with mission characterization, architecture, and analysis teams to execute the activities, develop the products, and synthesize results that answer Key Questions and meet evolving Joint missionobjectives. Lead teams ofoperational planners,intel analysts,architects, andModelingSimulation and Analysis (MS&A)analysts through the mission engineering process to assess and inform future capability investment decisions supported by analytical rigor. Development of study scope, key questions, partnering organizations, external teaming opportunities, and execution plans. Understand complex scenarios, vignettes, CONOPs, CONEMPs, measure derivation, and system-of-systems interactions toassistthe team's overall knowledge base and inform leadership. Understand Mission Architecture inputs, development, implementation, and connections to CONOPs, CONEMPs, andMS&Aefforts for the system-of-systems architectures being constructed. Understandmission-level analysisobjectives, tools, limitations, constraints, and how data and architectures feed M&S activities. Track progress, solve problems,identifyrisks, develop mitigations,maintaininformation flow to team and leadership. Synthesize raw analytical products into impactfuldata-drivenconclusions and recommendations for senior government leadership.Consolidateresults into a technical report and executive summary highlighting overall mission impacts, highlighting capability gaps closed and thoseremainingopen. Manage deliverables, focusing on aligning systems engineering analyses with Joint Warfighting Concepts and Combatant Command needs.Enable traceability ofanalysis results up to guiding doctrine. Conduct operations research to assess technologies, scenarios, and mission impacts in support ofASD(MC) Analytic Agenda Prototype and evaluateanalyticalframeworks anddesign of experimentstoassessandaddress capability gaps andemergingrequirements, enabling informed decisions on investments and capability development. Develop lifecycle systems models using architectures, simulations, and analytics workflows to ensure traceability and mission compliance. Collaborate with mission partners, program managers, and technical teams to integrate mission engineering practices across multi-domain missions and technologies. Providetechnical guidance on digital engineering and mission simulation readiness to align operational strategies with advanced engineering principles. Document analyses,trade studies, and mission frameworks to produce deliverables for review by senior leadership and COCOM representatives. Mentor teams to strengthen adoption of mission engineering principles across the organization, contributing to MTSI's world-class mission engineeringexpertise. Required Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in mission engineering, operations research, and systems analysis with proven ability to deliver mission-level analyses for classified environments.
