Serve our nation's Veterans in a respected federal healthcare system Work in a collaborative clinical laboratory environment Consistent schedule and professional work setting Opportunity to support a mission-focused healthcare team Gain valuable VA healthcare experience Minimum Qualifications Education Graduate of a Medical Laboratory Technician program Certification (Required)Candidates must possess current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through one of the following: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) American Medical Technologists (AMT) American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB) Experience Minimum 24 months of clinical laboratory experience Additional Requirements Ability to meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements Maintain active certification and required continuing education Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently Technical proficiency in clinical laboratory procedures and equipment Key Responsibilities Medical Laboratory Technicians will perform a variety of laboratory procedures supporting patient care, including: Perform laboratory testing procedures in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, serology, and blood banking Prepare and evaluate patient specimens for analysis Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment Perform quality control procedures and maintain accurate laboratory records Identify equipment malfunctions and assist with troubleshooting Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and infection control standards Assist with specimen preparation and transport Maintain proper documentation in accordance with VA policies and procedures Job Offers: Monday-Friday Full time 11 Paid Federal Holidays PTO and Sick time Medical/Dental/Vision/401k For More Information Contact: Laura Hatcher 314-744-4156 LauraHatcher@spectrumhealth.com Company Overview: At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
