ABF Freight Manager, Regional Maintenance in Dayton, Ohio

Job Description

The Manager, Regional Maintenance supervises multiple maintenance vendors within assigned region. This position manages shop operations at domiciled shop and ensure time efficient delivery of safe and reliable equipment to drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Address equipment complaints and resolve problems.

  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

  • Remotely manage equipment repair expenditures in the assigned operating region with some travel required.

  • High level of collaboration with team members and vendors.

  • Manage expenditures for maintenance facilities, parts inventory, and equipment.

Requirements

Education:

  • Associate's Degree, preferred

Experience:

  • 5 years in equipment maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • 4 years experience with service and repair vendors, required

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred

Other Details

Work Hours:

  • Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional (25%-50%)

Compensation:

  • This is a salary position paid biweekly.

  • Variable compensation is included.
