Recruiter: Kevin Garner 440-596-2423 As the "face of Airgas," the Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck. The Delivery Driver loads, unloads, delivers, and returns compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers. As a Delivery Driver at Airgas, you will be a part of a professional team that encourages internal mobility while offering our employees a work/life balance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cylinder Handling:Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations. Record Keeping:Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling. Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. Warehouse Support:Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed. __Are you a MATCH? Required Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or ability to acquire certifications as a condition of employment). Must have one (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years. In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years. Must be at least 21 years or older Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Forklift Experience Touch freight delivery experience
