Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Geospatial Project Managerto join our dynamic Project Management Office. This position reports to the Discipline Leader and is responsible for managing geospatialaerial mapping,fielddata acquisition,ground survey,lidar, imagery,bathymetry,planimetric,derivative products, GIS, and geo-enabled information systems projects.

What You Will Do:

Project Management role -95%

• Managesgeospatialaerial mapping,fielddata acquisition,ground survey,lidar, imagery,bathymetry,planimetric,derivative products, GIS, and geo-enabled information systems projects.
• Leads project execution teams in the development of scope,schedule, and fee, as well asholdingthe team accountable for successful execution.
• Speaksknowledgeablyto clients and staff aboutgeospatialandtechnicalaspects of theseprojects.
• Working directly with internaldiscipline and teamleaders and external subcontractors for project planning and execution.
• Managesproject plans,kickoffs,and closeouts, including planning, record management, and traveling to the field asappropriate.
• Interfacingwithand building a portfolio ofrepeatclients.
• Assesses and actively manages the health ofprojects fromstart to finish.
• Defines and communicates client needs and expectationsto internalteamleaders,phasemanagers, and technical staff.
• Deliversprojectahead of orwithin schedule, scope, and budget.
• Maintainsprojectinformation and trackinginanERP system, updating statusand resource planningmonthly in coordination withteamleaders andphasemanagers.
• Manages projectinvoicesand collections.
• Ensurescontinuous stakeholder communicationstoanticipateandmitigateproject issues.
• Coordinateswithteam leaders and phase managers toidentify, address, and resolve project issuesimpactingquality, client goals,objectives, and/or client satisfaction.

Business Development role - 5%

• Buildsandenhancesexisting client relationships toidentifyandinitiateadditionalproject opportunities.
• Identifiesandgrowsnew client relationships that match the client and project type focus and overall business strategy of the practice areaand sector.
• Promotes Woolpert as an industry leader for specified market/practice andservices(s) with new and existing clients.
• RepresentsWoolpert at conferences and other events.
• Preference to candidates whobring an existing network of client relationships.

Additional Functions -

• Works with sales and technical leads torefineandexecutesales strategy.
• Assistsin marketing initiatives.
• Makesformal presentations and/orpublishesarticles for professional/trade/civic organizations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of five(5) years of related Project Management experience orten(10) years of related experience.

Ten(10)or moreyears of professional geospatial experience withthe acquisition of aerialbathymetry,imagery, and lidar,planimetric and topog
