Work Hours: 11:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
This position will pay the current para rate of pay without a sped differential.
Must be in good standing with DCSD Attendance Policies
Ability to work with diverse groups of students with various needs
Ability to redirect and diffuse student behavior
Ability and willingness to work with students who attend the DCSD Summer Learning elementary school program
Ability to supervise groups of 15 students
Ability to accept direction from site coordinator
Ability to be outside for long periods of time
Ability to stand for extended periods
Personal qualities need to include: nurture, good attendance, patience, dependability
Other duties as assigned by Site Coordinator
Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
Successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
Physical Requirements of Position: (HBV ?Yes ?No)
Ability to bend, squat, push, pull and lift 50lbs
Ability to be on feet most of the day

Ability to work with a diverse student population
Willingness to work with on-line instruction technology/
