Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Clinic Office Lead in our MercyOne Genesis Family Medical Center Clinic

As a CLinic Office Lead at MercyOne, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations within the clinic, including staff coordination, process improvement, training, and troubleshooting. The role assists in managing workload assignments, scheduling, patient registrations, and medical records, while ensuring smooth clinic operations and patient flow. The position also involves administrative duties such as coordinating billing, handling patient inquiries, verifying insurance, and managing special projects. The lead serves as a resource for staff, provides direction in the absence of the manager, and ensures adherence to performance expectations and operational policies.

Schedule:

  • Full time 40 hours

  • 8:00a-5:00p

  • No weekend or Holidays

General Requirements:

  • Knows, understands, incorporates, anddemonstratesthe Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.

  • Optimizesclinic operations,assistingwith patient registration, billing, demographics, code scanning, denials, and collections.

  • Overseesstaff scheduling, onboarding,and education.Assistswith payroll, timekeeping, and performance management.

  • Recognizes and addresses issues, improvingclinicflow and ensuring quality patient care. Responds to patient inquiries.

  • Activelyparticipatesin meetings,leadshuddles, ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and departmental policies.

  • Maintains supply inventoryandorder supplies as assigned.

  • Provides leadership, ensuringappropriate staffing, training, and support for the clinical team.

  • Collaborates with a variety of staff,leadersand providers to ensure delivery of quality patient care.

  • Resolve complex patient concerns,inquiries, andescalateto management asappropriate.

  • Monitors department operations, manages supplies,maintainsconfidentiality, and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational integrity.

  • Leads orassistswith quality assurance, staff development, and process improvement initiatives. Demonstratesproficiencyin department-specific software and tools.

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and competency in all essential functions of various clerical roles within the clinic.

  • Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies andproceduresin order toensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Education:

  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

  • Associate's degree in related fieldrequired. Equivalent years of experience in related fieldsmay be considered in lieu ofAssociate’sdegree.

  • Must have a minimum of2years of prior related experience in a medical office or healthcaresetting.

  • Is able toperform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.

  • Knowledge of medical terminologyis preferred.

  • Must display proper telephone etiquette.

  • Must be able todemonstratebasic computer skills in a Windows environment.

  • Musthavegood communicationand diplomacy skills.

  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to populationservedwithin three (3) months of hire.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.

  • Mustmaintaina high degree of confidentiality when dealing with patient and colleague information.

  • Mustpossessa personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
