Basic Job Functions:
The Tensile Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting mechanical testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment within the lab.
Sample Preparation & Testing: Perform mechanical tests on materials, recording data, and
to ensure accurate and consistent test results. interpreting results to ensure material properties meet specified requirements.
Data Analysis: Analyze test results and communicate findings to relevant departments.
Equipment Maintenance: Calibration verification, maintenance, and troubleshooting testing equipment
Quality Control: Assist in quality control processes by verifying material specifications, conducting additional mechanical tests as required, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all tests performed, including raw data, calculations, and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two-year technical degree or higher AND/OR relevant work experience
Sound knowledge of customer specifications
Demonstrated ability to go the extra mile; whether it is hours worked or responsibilities accepted, with the proper attitude and dependability.
