Job Title: Project Manager
Job Description
This position involves managing multiple projects focused on sustaining engineering and product development within a collaborative environment. The role involves working on electronics for equipment such as displays, clusters, and control modules. The successful candidate will play a significant role in supply chain management and sourcing components from suppliers.
Responsibilities
Manage several projects simultaneously including gauges, clusters, displays, sensors, and controllers.
Dedicate 75% of time to project management activities related to project health, ensuring projects are on track and meet deadlines.
Use charts to manage and track project progress.
Provide updates to project stakeholders.
Manage projects predominantly within Hardware Development and Electrical Engineering.
Collaborate with Software and Mechanical Engineering teams.
Spend 25% of time on hands-on technical activities, mainly testing.
Essential Skills
7+ years of experience.
BS in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
Strong experience in project management.
Ability to manage several projects concurrently.
Proficiency with charts for project tracking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in hardware and electrical engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with supplier and vendor management.
Experience in automotive modules, telematics, and display clusters.
Experience in sustaining and obsolescence strategies.
Knowledge of PCB design and firmware.
Familiarity with Altium software.
Work Environment
The team consists of approximately 20 people, fostering a hands-on and collaborative environment. Business casual attire is expected, and the standard hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Darien, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
