Assures air quality and comfort throughout the Hospital. Establishes, maintains, and assures that all areas are safe and in compliance with temperature, humidity, and pressure regulations. Provides maintenance and repair to the Hospital's HVAC systems, including all air conditioning systems, Chillers, VAV/reheat boxes, and split systems throughout the hospital. Operates building automation system and works with outside vendors on plant upgrades and repairs.
Responsibilities:
Provides and assures air quality throughout the Hospital to maintain patient, staff, and visitor comfort.
Monitors, manipulates, and confirms proper air exchanges, room pressurization status, temperature, and humidity levels. Makes adjustments to keep space conditions within regulatory compliance ranges.
Establishes, troubleshoots & develops an action plan to provide maintenance & repair services to the hospital's building & HVAC systems, utilize technical, interpersonal & critical thinking skills to assure continuous and effective patient care services.
Provides services & upgrades to the hospital's building management system and controls. Develops improvement plans for energy conservation from managed systems. Knowledge of Staefa, Honeywell, Robert Shaw and Johnson, DDC and pneumatic control systems.
Develops and recommends equipment improvements for capital budgeting for facilities and all other departments for refrigeration requirements.
Reviews all renovation projects and makes recommendations for proper airflow and cooling requirements.
Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
Other Information:
Cooling Unlimited Journey person (State of Connecticut S-2 or S-1 License)
Working knowledge of BMS/BAS (Building Automation System) both digital and pneumatic controls
Minimum two-year experience required, Healthcare experience strongly desired.
