About the Role
The Content Strategist will drive the full content strategy for a diverse portfolio of engineering and technical products. This role blends strategic planning, hands-on content creation, and cross-functional partnership with marketing, sales, product, and engineering teams. Candidates with real-world experience in manufacturing or engineering will thrive, especially those capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, and credible content.
What You’ll Do
Lead Content Strategy & Planning
Develop and own a comprehensive content strategy aligned to business goals, full-funnel marketing, and sales enablement initiatives
Craft solution-oriented narratives that connect technical products to real customer challenges
Build and maintain an integrated content roadmap and editorial calendar across web, landing pages, social media, and sales assets
Collaborate with product marketing, sales, demand generation, and engineering teams to identify content gaps and define high-impact topics
Establish consistent messaging frameworks, content standards, and voice guidelines across all channels
Create & Optimize Content for Search & AI Discovery
Develop AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) content that deeply addresses technical buyer and engineer questions
Create and guide the production of white papers, case studies, technical articles, landing pages, video scripts, and additional multimedia assets
Write content using SEO best practices, schema-aligned structures, and modular formats optimized for visibility across both traditional search engines and AI discovery tools
Continuously refine content to perform on Google Search, AI assistants, and emerging research platforms
Experiment with AI-driven content tools, search behaviors, and distribution approaches to expand reach and engagement
Ideal Candidate
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology, or similar technical environments
Strong strategic thinking paired with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute
Expertise in SEO, AEO, content frameworks, and modern digital content ecosystems
Exceptional writing and editing skills, especially for technical audiences
Ability to collaborate across marketing, sales, product, and engineering functions
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Manufacturing or Engineering Industry Experience Is Required
5–10 years of content strategy experience, with direct experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial B2B environments
Proven ability to create content for technical, operations, or engineering-focused audiences
Demonstrated success developing content strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and measurable business outcomes
Strong understanding of how brand, creative, and media intersect across web, social, and earned channels
Portfolio of demand-generating content tied to performance metrics
Experience briefing, producing, and optimizing written and multimedia content
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into content improvements
Expertise in writing and structuring content for both human readers and AI systems
Comfort using GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to enhance marketing workflows
Excellent editorial judgment and the ability to simplify complex technical topics
Experience working cross-functionally in a global or matrixed organization
