Job Title: Construction Laborer
Pay: $20-23
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled construction laborer to support a hospital renovation project converting an existing floor into a new oncology wing. This role assists the site superintendent with construction, carpentry, drywall repair, and general site maintenance to keep the project on schedule and to high quality standards.
Responsibilities
Support the superintendent with daily site tasks
Patch and repair drywall surfaces
Perform light carpentry, framing, and finish work
Use hand and power tools safely
Assist with saw cutting, material handling, and site prep
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Work professionally in an active hospital environment
Qualifications
1–2 years of construction or skilled labor experience (or strong ability to learn)
Basic carpentry and drywall repair skills
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and saws
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable Monday–Friday; occasional Saturdays
Professional and respectful communication
Nice to Have
Commercial or healthcare construction experience
Ability to follow basic drawings or instructions
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
Work Environment
Active hospital renovation site
Early morning to 3:30 PM schedule
Steel-toe boots and PPE required
Cleanliness, safety, and professionalism are essential

This is a Contract position based out of Damariscotta, ME.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
