Job Overview

The Welder is responsible for permanently joining metal components using a variety of welding techniques and tools. This role requires the ability to interpret technical drawings, prepare materials, perform high?quality welds in multiple positions, and maintain equipment in safe working condition. The ideal candidate is safety?minded, reliable, and able to produce consistent, precise work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts and welding procedures.

  • Select appropriate welding equipment, methods, and materials based on project specifications.

  • Set up components and workstations according to job requirements.

  • Operate manual and semi?automatic welding equipment to weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).

  • Use angle grinders and other tools to prepare parts prior to welding.

  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.

  • Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.

  • Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE such as face shields, gloves, and protective clothing.

  • Work overtime as needed to support production demands.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience using welding tools and equipment, including grinders, saws, squares, calipers, and other hand or power tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and fabrication drawings.

  • Strong understanding of welding safety standards and best practices.

  • High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high?quality welds.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential duties of the role:

  • Ability to stand for the full duration of a shift; ability to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch as required.

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $30.00 per hour
