About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer with strong expertise in Angular 18+, SQL Server, C#, .NET Framework, JavaScript, and Azure/AWS to build scalable, high‑quality applications that support business needs and enhance system performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and contributing to meaningful software solutions that drive organizational impact.

In this role, you will:

· Develop robust software solutions using Angular 18+, SQL Server, C#, and the .NET Framework to meet business requirements and enhance system functionality.

· Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement scalable applications using AngularJS and Azure technologies.

· Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity through effective SQL management, tuning, and troubleshooting.

· Use JavaScript to build dynamic, responsive user interfaces that elevate user experience and engagement.

· Apply software development best practices to ensure high‑quality code and efficient project delivery.

· Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement across the team.

· Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, contributing to iterative development cycles.

· Analyze complex technical issues and design innovative solutions to improve system reliability and performance.

· Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the development team.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.

· Ensure all development activities comply with company standards, policies, and security guidelines.

· Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

· Contribute to the organization’s purpose by developing software solutions that create a positive impact for users and the broader community.

What you need to have to be considered

· Proficiency in SQL Server, C#/.NET, SQL/DB skills, Angular 18+, AWS/Azure, JavaScript, and the .NET Framework, with a proven ability to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

· Strong communication and storytelling skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

· Effective negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and build consensus during project discussions.

· Strong decision‑making abilities to prioritize tasks and make informed choices that support project success.

· Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to address complex technical challenges.

· Expertise in database management, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and reliability.

This will help you stand out

· Experience mentoring junior developers or contributing to team capability building.

· Hands‑on experience with modern cloud services (Azure or AWS) and cloud‑native development patterns.

· Demonstrated ability to optimize large‑scale databases and improve application performance.

· A track record of driving innovation by adopting emerging technologies and modern development practices.

· Strong ability to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $64,025 to $94,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
