Aerotek Machine Operator in Dallas, Texas

Job Title: Machine Operator

Pay: $20 hr

Shift: 2nd

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for running and maintaining our packaging machinery, ensuring everything operates smoothly and efficiently. You will need to be safety-minded with a keen attention to detail, capable of setting up machinery by reading manuals and following safety procedures, loading machinery with packaging supplies, and monitoring the machine and filling process.

Responsibilities

  • Run and maintain packaging machinery.

  • Ensure machinery operates smoothly and efficiently.

  • Set up machinery by reading manuals and adhering to safety procedures.

  • Load machinery with packaging supplies.

  • Monitor machine and filling process.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in machine operation and assembly.

  • Knowledge of general production and use of hand tools.

  • Ability to perform machine set-up and packaging tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.

  • Ability to meet daily productivity expectations.

  • Proficiency in basic math skills.

  • Aptitude for learning to operate packaging machinery.

  • Capability to read and complete required paperwork.

  • Physical ability to stand for 9 to 10-hour shifts and lift 50 lbs unaided.

Work Environment

You will work with industrial equipment within the distribution and packaging process. The environment is non-climate controlled and emphasizes teamwork with a group of 36 employees.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
