GAF Logistics Coordinator II in Dallas, Texas

Job Summary

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating, tracking and reporting various logistic activities including inter-unit transfer orders (IUTs), Return Materials Authorization (RMAs), cycle counts, demurrage tracking and other key processes as assigned by the Logistics Manager. The Logistics Coordinator is a key liaison between the Plant, Sales, Supply Planning, Transportation and Customer Care.

Essential Duties

  • Assure that all shipments are dispatched in an accurate and timely basis to meet site service metrics, shipping/warehouse budget compliance, transportation lane compliance, truck/rail weight targets and service reliability

  • Work with the Fleet Group Leader to plan and manage in a cost-effective manner the use of the fleet.

  • Work effectively as a team member within the Logistics Department.

  • Actively run reports to help track and monitor shipping/warehouse operations.

  • Communicate concerns and issues. Work as a team member for resolution.

  • Verify production inventory reporting, work with customer care to ensure sufficient inventory is available to meet customer shipments.

  • Run daily Negative Available to Promise reports (ATP).

  • Communicate with Customer Care and Distribution Planning Group regarding inventory shortages. Work as a team member for resolution.

  • Assist with physical inventory counts, tracks and analyze cycle count performance daily.

  • Ensure all products are counted at least one time during the quarter

  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cost and improve customer service.

  • Cross train and act as backup for the Dock Coordinator, Production Planner, and Traffic Coordinator as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned Additional responsibilities include supporting the Production Planner by tracking raw materials and notifying the team of potential issues such as late arrivals or shortages.

  • This position supports the overall Logistics department and serves as backup for other positions within the department including Dock Coordinator, Production Planner, and Traffic Coordinator.

Qualifications Required

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

  • Three years of Plant specific experience Required

  • In addition, should have acquaintance with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS-RF) Required

  • Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and software, such as web-based Carrier Point

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Salary Range: $48,006-$66,009
